Former England captain Kevin Pietersen on Monday requested cricket fans to support the players and the team even when they lose the match as they are not robots and they need the support of the fans all the time.
Kevin Pietersen’s statement came just one day after India’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 8-wicket defeat against Kane Williamson-led New Zealand National Cricket Team.
Kevin Pietersen asserted that no player approaches the game to lose it, and it’s a great honour for the cricketers to represent their country in world cricket. Notably, Kevin Pietersen posted his statement on Twitter in Hindi.
“There is a winner and a loser in the game. No player goes out to lose. It is the greatest honour to represent your country. Please realize that the people in the game are not robots and they need support at all times,”

I Still Believe India Is The Best Team – Mohammad Amir
Earlier, former Pakistan speedster Mohammad Amir also expressed his disappointment on Indian players getting trolled for a flop show in the T20 World Cup 2021. Amir stated:
“I still believe India is the best team it’s just a matter of having a good time or bad time but abusing players and their family is such a shame don’t forget the end of the day it’s just a game of cricket,”

Also, Veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh posted a similar tweet requesting fans not to be too harsh on the players as they are the ones who have been hurt the most after the defeat. He stated:
“Let’s not be harsh on our players. yes we know them for better cricket. Sabse jyada players ko hurt hota hai after such results. but well done to @BLACKCAPS NZ for winning the match. they were fantastic in all departments “
