“What An Innings” – Twitter Erupts As Ishan Kishan Smashes A Stupendous Double Century In IND vs BAN 3rd ODI

The 24-year-old India National Cricket Team opening batsman Ishan Kishan played an absolutely stupendous knock and smashed a double century in the third ODI against Bangladesh National Cricket Team.
The dead rubber third ODI between the Bangla Tigers and the Men In Blue is currently underway at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday, December 10. The Litton Das-led Bangladesh have already clinched the series after winning the first two ODIs and they are eyeing a Banglawash.

Ishan Kishan got the opportunity to open the innings alongside Shikhar Dhawan after captain Rohit Sharma got ruled out of the match due to a thumb injury, which he sustained while fielding in the second ODI in Mirpur.
Losing the toss and batting first, India lost the wicket of opener Shikhar Dhawan in the 5th over itself, but Kishan grabbed the opportunity with both hands and played a stellar knock.

Ishan Kishan batted cautiously in the initial half of his innings and reached the half-century milestone off 49 balls. He accelerated after scoring a fifty and completed his remarkable century off 85 balls.
Ishan Kishan wasn’t satisfied with a ton and he kept on batting brilliantly. He smashed his next 50 runs in just 18 balls and completed the 150-run landmark off 103 balls. The 24-year-old became the fastest Indian batter to score 150 runs in ODIs, overtaking Virender Sehwag who completed 150 runs off 112 balls in 2011 against West Indies.
Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan smashed his extraordinary double century off 126 balls and his innings consisted of 23 fours and 9 sixes. He became the fastest player in history to smash an ODI double century, overtaking Chris Gayle who scored a double century off 138 balls against Zimbabwe in 2015.
Ishan Kishan also became 4th Indian batter after Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma to score an ODI double century. Kishan, who is only the 7th batter in the history of ODI cricket to score a double ton, got out in the 36th over, which was bowled by Taskin Ahmed. He smashed 210 runs off 131 balls, including 24 fours and 10 sixes.
