DC vs KKR: Michael Vaughan Questions Rishabh Pant's Captaincy After Kuldeep Yadav Bowls Only 3 Overs After Picking 4 Wickets vs KKR
Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant opted to hold back Kuldeep Yadav despite the latter picking up his career-best figures against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.
The move backfired quite hard as Lalit Yadav gave away 17 runs in the over that could have been bowled by Kuldeep. This led to strong reactions from the cricketing fraternity.
Former England captain, Michael Vaughan, berated the 24-year-old Pant for turning to Lalit despite Kuldeep being extra motivated and bowling brilliantly against his former franchise, KKR.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep continued tormenting his old team. The leg-spinner had already taken four wickets in DC’s first of the two games against KKR this season. He dismissed Baba Aparajith and Sunil Narine off consecutive deliveries in his second over before taking two more wickets of Shreyas Iyer and Andre Russell in the space of 4 deliveries to set the KKR side back in their first innings.
