Rajasthan Royals take on Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 29. This is the first final for the Royals in 14 seasons. They won the inaugural IPL title in 2008. They beat RCB in the second qualifier to book a place in the final.

Rajasthan Royals has managed to break the deadlock of not entering an IPL final since 2008. The last time they made the playoffs was in 2018. However, in 2022 they have managed to reach the final. The side would be hungry for the title in a year when they lost their first-ever skipper Shane Warne. Jos Buttler

Buttler has scored 824 runs from 16 matches so far in the season. He is already within the top-five run-getters in a single season. He has a chance to get to 900 runs for the season in the big final.

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Jaiswal will open the batting along with Jos Buttler in the final. He has been the aggressor up at the top allowing Buttler to take some time before he tees off.

Sanju Samson

Samson had had another 400-plus season. He has scored 444 runs in the season so far and has a chance to get to his first 500-plus season in the IPL.

Devdutt Padikkal

Padikkal has been impressive in his debut season for the club. He has scored 374 runs in the season already and will be eyeing up getting to 400 runs. He will bat at number four in the lineup.

Shimron Hetmyer

The southpaw will bat at number five in the lineup. He has scored over 300 runs for the Royals and has been impressive for the franchise. He has been an asset to the side this year.

Riyan Parag

Parag has been good in bits and pieces for the Royals this season. He was not required with the bat in the Qualifier 2 against RCB. However, the Royals will hope for him to s=come good if needed with the bat.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ashwin has taken 12 wickets and has been handy with the bat as well. After an indifferent game in the first qualifier, he came back to his best in the Eliminator and the second qualifier. He will be required to bowl well in the final.

Prasidh Krishna

Krishna came back well in the second qualifier after David Miller smacked him for 16 runs in the final over in the first qualifier. He took 3 / 22 including the big wicket of Virat Kohli in that game.

Obed McCoy

McCoy too had a good game in the second Qualifier as he took 3/23. He should be persisted with in the final having performed so well in the previous game.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Chahal concludes the lineup for Rajasthan Royals which they should field in the final against GT. He is second on the Purple Cap list with 26 wickets in the season so far.
