He sat majorly on the sidelines for Mumbai Indians who roped him in ahead of IPL 2020. Lynn is another opener who is expected to be sold at a high price. He can be bought by any of the 10 teams. However, what will be the strategy of KKR in Lynn’s case will be an interesting observation.
Jonny Bairstow
Jonny Bairstow has also proved himself in the IPL. He was at the center of SRH’s success in IPL for the three seasons he played with the franchise. he was released by the franchise ahead of the mega auctions. Overall in three seasons. Overall he scored 1038 runs for SRH with seven fifties and a hundred. That he is also a wicketkeeper might boost his chances of getting sold at a higher price.
Jason Roy
Jason Roy is another attacking opener. He was signed by SRH in the second half of IPL 2021 as a replacement. He played a few good knocks for the franchise but they decided to release him ahead of the mega auction. This gives other franchises now a chance to rope in the England opener. Consistent run-scoring is something that the franchises would be expecting from Roy now that he is an experienced T20 freelancer.
