The IPL 2022 mega auction will be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has said that the RCB franchise would definitely like to target Ishan Kishan in the upcoming auction. Being an Indian top-order batsman, Kishan will be on the radar of many teams. That he can keep wickets might double his price as well.
A few Indian players like Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, Devdutt Padikkal, Shreyas Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami are the likely targets for every franchise. They are proven performers in the IPL and would be an asset for any team. Speaking about the players RCB might target on his Youtube channel, Harbhajan said that Kishan might be one of the Indian players the franchise might like to go for.
I Am A Fan Of Ishan Kishan: Harbhajan Singh
“Ishan Kishan is someone I am a fan of. On his own capability, on any given day, he can smash 70-80 runs off 30 balls and win the match for his team. He will become a very big player in the time to come. If a player like him goes to any team, he should be given the responsibility of leadership. The way he gets older, with responsibilities he will become even bigger. He already captains Jharkhand. RCB would definitely target Ishan Kishan in the auction. It will be tough because many teams would go after him at the auction,” Harbhajan said in a video on his YouTube channel.
Veteran Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik, who is himself a part of the auction also spoke very highly of Ishan Kishan‘s talent.
“He is got tremendous skills… He can attack from ball one. That’s a skill every player doesn’t possess. In the new age, players try to attack a lot from ball one. Teams that have succeeded in doing that consistently have done very well in multi-nation tournaments. So Ishan definitely has a good chance to come into the scheme of things,” Karthik pointed out, as per HT.
A total of 590 players will go under the hammer in the IPL 2022 mega auction with season 15 to be a 10-team affair after the addition of two new teams into the IPL fold.
