Punjab Kings bought 23 players in the IPL 2022 mega auction. The franchise owners and the management have done a good job to identify players who can help them win their maiden IPL title. Barring the 2014 season when the team made it to their only IPL final, the franchise has not achieved much in the tournament. 

Punjab Kings had the heaviest purse of 72 lakhs as they haded into the mega auction, They retained Mayank Agarwal (12 Cr) and Arshdeep Singh (4 Cr). For PBKS, Liam Livingstone was the most expensive deal for Rs. 11.5 crores. Shikhar Dhawan (8.25 crores), Kagiso Rabada (9.25 crores), Jonny Bairstow (6.75 crores), and Shahrukh Khan (9 crores) were some of the other expensive players that Punjab Kings bought during the auction.

Punjab Kings would ideally hope that the southpaw continues his rich vein of form.
