Kane Williamson

Kane Williamson is the first player that the team will definitely retain in IPL 2022. David Warner has bid goodbye to the team and Kane Williamson is highly expected to lead the squad in the next season as well.

In the last few seasons, the New Zealand player has performed brilliantly with the bat. In IPL 2021, he scored 266 runs in 10 games at an average of 44.33 and slammed 2 fifties. He might also be picked as the skipper of the team in the next season.

Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan is another overseas player that Sunrisers Hyderabad might retain in IPL 2022. The right-arm spinner is one of the strongest spinners in T20 format. The leg spinner has performed consistently well in the last few seasons in IPL.

In IPL 2021, Rashid Khan picked 18 wickets in 14 games at an average of 20.83 and economy of just 6.69. Among spinners, he was the joint highest wicket-taker in the tournament with KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy.

Among Indian players, SRH might retain Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the 2022 season. The right-arm pacer is a regular player in the national team in white-ball cricket. In IPL 2021, he struggled with his bowling at the start but seemed to gain momentum towards the end.

Kumar scalped 6 wickets in 11 games at an average of 55.83. In 132 games in the tournament, the right-arm pacer has scalped 142 wickets at an average of 25.26.

T Natarajan

T Natarajan is another domestic player that the team might retain in IPL 2022. The left-arm pacer could only play 2 games in IPL 2021 in which he picked 2 wickets. He also made his international debut in the last one year.
