During Punjab Kings (PBKS) match against the Gujarat Titans (GT), Shikhar Dhawan became the first Indian batter ever to score 1000 fours in the shortest format of the game.

He achieved the feat when he smashed GT pacer, Lockie Ferguson, for a four in the 5th over of Punjab’s innings on Friday. With that, he now joins an elite list of batters to have breached the 1k mark.

Among Indians, Virat Kohli is next with 917 while Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina come in at No. 3 and 4 having scored 875 and 779 fours respectively.
