KKR vs GT: Kolkata Knight Riders’ Predicted Playing XI Against Gujarat Titans.

Kolkata Knight Riders take on Gujarat Titans in match 35 of IPL 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium on Saturday at 3.30 pm IST. It is the first of the two games that day and a must-win for KKR. KKR is placed sixth in the points table at the moment while the Titans are placed at the top of the table at the moment.

DC vs RR Dream11 Prediction

KKR lost to Rajasthan Royals in their previous game as they failed to chase 218 for victory. They fell short by just seven runs. Against Delhi, they failed to chase 216 runs to win. Both these losses have put forward a pattern of the KKR bowling attack. Sunil Narine is the only bowler who is performing. Though he is not taking wickets, he is choking the runs in the middle overs.

Umesh Yadav after a good start to the season has fallen apart. Pat Cummins and Varun Chakravarthy has struggled. Cummins in fact has gone for nearly 200 runs in the four games that he has played so far. The side needs a rethinking of their bowling attack and personnel taking charge of the line-up. They should make changes in their bowling attack heading into this game as a few of their key players are not performing they have suitable replacements. In this article, we predicted the likely playing XI for Kolkata Knight Riders against Gujarat Titans.

Aaron Finch

Finch scored his first fifty for KKR against the Royals. He scored 58 and his wicket was the turning point in the end for the Knights losing the game by such a close margin. He will keep his place for this crucial game. Finch needs to bat longer for his side.

With Venkatesh Iyer struggling with the bat, KKR might think of bringing back Ajinkya Rahane in the playing XI. Iyer has scored just one fifty in his seven games so far for KKR. Moreover, he has looked scratchy at the start of his innings and has struggled to get going barring that one score. The decision to bat him in the middle order also did not work.

The KKR skipper notched up his highest score for Kolkata Knight Riders. He scored 85 and lost his wicket in the 17rg over of the innings with KKR needing 40 off 24 balls. Having found his form, Iyer needs to continue for his team’s sake in the remaining seven games.

Nitish Rana

Rana lost his wicket after scoring 18 runs against RR. His wicket started the slide for KKR in their chase in that game. He has already scored a fifty and has contributed with a few cameos. He needs to continue his big-hitting form for the franchise.

Sheldon Jackson

Jackson is being preferred over Sam Billings keeping in mind the team combination. He has been sage with the gloves but has hardly contributed anything with the bat so far in the season. He scored 8 off 8 balls against RR and was dismissed in the final over of the game with KKR needing 13 runs to win.

Andre Russell

Russell registered a rare failure this season for KKR. HE was out for a golden duck against RR. However, a KKR playing XI is incomplete without Russell in it. The time has well and truly come for him to be more consistent for the Knights.

Sunil Narine

Narine has been impeccable with the ball for Kolkata. Against Rajasthan, he picked up two for 21 and taken his wickets tally to six wickets from seven games. Ahead of his 150th game for the side, Narine spoke about finishing his IPL career with KKR.

Varun Chakravarthy / Anukul Roy

Ideally, Chakravarthy should be rested for this game given that he has bowled poorly in the last few games. He has also had a few misfields to his name which has hurt the team badly. Left-arm spinner Anukul Roy should be given a chance in playing XI in this game or a medium pacer like Ashok Sharma.

Umesh Yadav

The veteran Indian pacer had a good start to this IPL campaign but now has lost his form completely. The management does not have an ideal replacement for him and thus will need to keep him going. Umesh has to be back amongst the wickets if KKR are willing to make it to the playoffs.

Pat Cummins / Tim Southee

Cummins has been hugely expensive in the four games that he has played so far for KKR. He has given away 190 runs and taken just four wickets. With the bat, apart from his innings against Mumbai Indians, Cummins has not contributed much in the rest of the games. With Tim Southee available, the management should bring him in instead of Cummins and give him a break.

Shivam Mavi

Shivam Mavi completes KKR’s most likely playing XI against Gujarat Titans. He was the best bowler for KKR in the match against Rajasthan Royals. Mavi needs to step up again for the Knights against GT.
