KKR vs MI: Kolkata Knight Riders’ Predicted Playing XI Against Mumbai Indians, IPL 2022, Match 14, KKR vs MI. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in their fourth game of this IPL 2022 campaign at the MCA Stadium in Pune on April 6, Wednesday. So far in the first three games, KKR have won two games and lost one. They beat CSK in their first game, lost to RCB, and made a return to winning ways against Punjab Kings.

RR vs RCB Dream11 Prediction

KKR have the worst record in the IPL against Mumbai Indians. They have won just seven games and 22 against the five-time IPL champions. In 2021, they lost in India’s leg and won the rematch in the UAE leg in Sharjah.

KKR will have Pat Cummins available for this game against Mumbai Indians. Cummins has completed his quarantine and is available for selection in this game. The return of Cummins will be a big boost for the KKR bowling attack. This is a crucial game for the Knights and the management should not look to change too many personnel in their playing XI. It will be interesting to see how they fit Cummins into this playing XI and whom do they leave out.

Ajinkya Rahane

After scoring 44 in KKR’s first game against CSK, Rahane has lost a bit of his form. His next two scores against RCB and PNKS were 9 and 12 respectively. He needs to get back to winning runs as a good opening is imperative for KKR to give themselves the best chance of winning the game.

Iyer is still getting off to a good start in this season. After scoring 370 in IPL 2021 expectations from him are much higher this time around. In the first two games, he was easily dismissed by the opposition bowlers. Iyer has scored just 19 runs in the two innings together. Alongside Rahane, runs from the southpaw will be crucial in this game. The team might require his bowling skills too in the game.

Shreyas Iyer

KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer is short of runs as well after playing an unbeaten knock in the first game. He spoke about batting at number three in the lineup before the start of the tournament. However, he is yet to replicate his form in the Sri Lanka series against the IPL.

Sheldon Jackson

With Nitish Rana looking out of touch. Sheldon Jackson can replace him in the playing XI. He might not necessarily look to bat at number four in the line-up but can look to get a decent contribution with the bat.

Sam Billings

Billings will hold onto his number five spot in the line-up after taking KKR to a win in the last game against Punjab Kings. Alongside Andre Russell and Sunil Narine, Billings extends the KKR batting line-up that much longer. He can play according to the situation and can be the perfect foil to the likes of Russell and Narine.

Russell played a splendid innings against Punjab and will look to carry on the form against. Against Mumbai, he has a decent enough record and has been scoring runs in the last few seasons. He would ideally like to bat at number six with over six to seven overs remaining in the innings.

Sunil Narine

Slotted at number seven in this line-up, Narine can also open the batting if required. If that is eventually the case, Rahane can slot it at number four extending KKR’s batting line-up. His face-off with MI skipper Rohit Sharma will be one of the key battles to watch out for.

Pat Cummins

Cummins will replace Tim Southee in the line-up. Despite Tim doing well in the first two games, the management will be itching to play their big-money player against Mumbai Indians. Cummins did not have a good 2021 and he was unavailable for the UAE leg of IPL 2021 as well. He will look to make early inroads in the game.

Umesh Yadav

Umesh Yadav is the Purple Cap holder at the moment. The veteran Indian pacer has been at his best so far in the IPL. He will need to continue his good work and need to take wickets inside the powerplay.

Shivam Mavi

KKR have placed faith in Mavi and rebought him in the mega auction. He will need to replay his faith this season for the franchise. He was a bit wayward against in the last game going for 39 runs off his two overs. The KKR skipper did not even complete his spell. The management would like to give him a couple of more matches before deciding his future this season.

Varun Chakravarthy

Chakravarthy completes KKR’s predicted playing XI against Mumbai Indians in match 14 of IPL 2022. There are a few good matchups to look forward to with the KKR spin twins expected to play a key role in the contest as well.
