Aaron Finch
Finch should be backed as the opener alongside Baba. Finch scored 58 against the Royals and since then has lost his touch. Finch needs to score runs at the top of the order and give KKR good starts. Finch getting runs is key to KKR winning the remaining games.
Shreyas Iyer
Iyer has scored 324 runs in 10 games so far for the Knights. The Kolkata Knight Riders skipper scored 34 of 32 balls and added a key 60-run stand with Nitish Rana that laid the foundation for KKR’s win.

After not scoring too many in the first few games, Rana has started playing some key knocks for KKR. He was involved in a match-winning 66-run stand with Rink Singh who scored an unbeaten 42, his highest IPL score.
Rinku Singh
Rinku Singh along with Nitish Rana will take care of the KKR middle-order. Both of them have scored some key runs in the last few games and needs to carry on their good form.
Sunil Narine
Narine will be used as a floater by KKR in the remaining games. He has not scored too many runs with the bat but has been economical as ever with the ball. Against RR, he bowled a spell of 4 over for just 19 runs.
Andre Russell
Russell will slot in at number six in the line-up. He was not needed either with bat or ball in the last game against Rajasthan. However, he continues to be an important player for the side. He has scored 227 runs in 10 games so far. The all-rounder is also inching closer to 2000 IPL runs.
Anukul Roy
The left-arm spinner made his debut for KKR in the last game. He bowled a spell of 1 for 28 and was a good foil for Narine who kept things tight from the other end. Roy and Narine should be KKR’s spin combination for the rest of the games.
Tim Southee
Southee has been a better option than Pat Cummins for Kolkata Knight Riders. Alongside Umesh Yadav, he has taken the responsibility from the other end. He picked 2 for 46 in the previous game and should be chosen ahead of Cummins.
Shivam Mavi
Mavi has impressed one and all in the chances that he has been given by the KKR management. He bowled a spell of 1 for 33 against the Royals which included a good last over bowled by him.
Umesh Yadav
Umesh Yadav concludes KKR’s strongest playing XI that they should look to field against LSG. Umesh is sixth in the Purple Cap list at the moment with 15 wickets from 10 games.
