LSG vs KKR: Twitter Reacts As LSG Register Resounding Win Over KKR To Top IPL 2022 Points Table

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) moved atop the IPL 2022 points table following a thumping win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Saturday’s second game at the Wankhede Stadium.
Batting first, Lucknow lost KL Rahul for a diamond duck after he was run out by Shreyas Iyer. Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda stitched a 71-run stand for the second wicket, making the most of the powerplay.
Following de Kock’s wicket, things slowed down considerably as the KKR bowlers choked the run flow. Late cameos from Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder then ensured that LSG finished with 176 on the board.

Hooda stated after the first innings that the wicket wasn’t easy to bat on and he was proved right. The Lucknow pacers ran riot in the powerplay, reducing Kolkata to 25/4 at the end of the powerplay mark.
Andre Russell played a typically entertaining innings where he smashed five sixes en route to a 19-ball 45 but his dismissal ended any hopes that the Kolkata side had of chasing the target down.

Avesh Khan and Holder took three wickets each and the victory takes Lucknow to the top of the points table with 16 points in 11 matches. As for Kolkata, they are stuck in eighth place with 4 wins in 11 matches.

IPL says “Yatra Pratibha Avsara Prapnotihi” which means “where talent meets opportunity” and it is proving absolutely correct about the likes of Ayush Badoni, Tilak Varma, Sai Sudarshan, Umran Malik, Mohsin Khan, Jitesh Sharma and many more. This tournament keeps giving.#TATAIPL

It is astonishing to see how many KKR batters getting out of short ball.

Since we are officially out of this tournament now and since the same things have been happening for more than half a decade now bcuz of the kinda management we have, I hope the owners will look into this matter. A team is made of 11 players not just Andre and Sunil. #KKR
