MI vs PBKS: Mumbai Indians’ Predicted Playing XI Against Punjab Kings, IPL 2022, Match 23 MI vs PBKS. Mumbai Indians face off against Punjab Kings in match 23 of IPL 2022 at the MCA stadium in Pune. It is scheduled to be played on April 13 from 7.30 pm  IST. It is the fifth game for both teams in this IPL campaign so far.

CSK vs RCB Dream11 Prediction

Mumbai Indians have a lot to ponder about heading into this game. They have not selected the correct players for the correct matches. In their previous match against RCB, they went in with only two overseas players looking to get their team combination right but that did not happen.

Skipper Rohit Sharma have urged their players to get hungrier for a win after their fourth consecutive loss against the RCB. Losing another game this season would make playoff qualifications virtually impossible for the five-time IPL champions.

Rohit looked in good touch for his 26 runs against RCB before he was eventually dismissed. He has got starts but has not been able to score the big scores expected from him. So far he has only scored 80 runs from the four matches played by Mumbai Indians.

Ishan Kishan

Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav are the only two players who have looked like scoring runs for Mumbai Indians. The lower-order has hardly contributed with Kieron Pollard mostly not finding his range in the tournament so far.

Brevis scored only 8 against RCN and picked up the prized wicket of Virat Kohli against RCB. However, with his aggressive batting approach, he might keep the spot in the playing XI as some aggressiveness is required from the lower-order.

Suryakumar Yadav

Surya has scored back to back fifties since his comeback to the Mumbai Indians side. For the sake of his team, he needs to continue his form and score as many runs as possible against Punjab Kings.

The southpaw might also keep his place in the XI given that he has shown some good hitting form in the season so far. He was unfortunately run out y Glenn <Maxwell in an ill-judged single but still he should keep his place in the XI.

Tim David

With Mumbai requiring some muscle in their lower middle-order Tim David should rep[lace Ramandeep Singh in the playing Xi. So far he has not done justice to his reputation as a finisher in the IPL. For MI to score runs in this game, their lower-order needs to contribute as well.

Kieron Pollard

For Mumbai to win in this game, Kieron Pollard has to contribute with the bat. A 5-ball 22 is best in this season so far. In the previous game against RCB, Pollard was dismissed for a first-ball duck by Wanindu Hasaranga highlighting his issues against spin early on in his innings. Pollard has scored just 47 runs from four games for Mumbai Indians.

Jaydev Unadkat

Unadkar bowed a spell of 1/30 against RCB. Playing his first game of the season, he bowled decently well for Mumbai. His job only increases against Punjab Kings who have several big-hitters in their line-up.

Jasprit Bumrah

Bumrah bowled a wicketless but economical spell against RCB. However, Mumbai would ideally expect him to provide early breakthroughs and bring them into the game. Lack of wickets from the pacer is one of the reasons why Mumbai has failed to win games this season.

Murugan Ashwin

Mumbai should ideally go in with two spinners in this game and Ashwin should be one of the two spinners. Ashwin bowled a spell of none for 26 against RCB.

Mayank Markande / Tymal Mills

Markande should be the second spinner in this Mumbai Indians playing XI. two spinners and two frontline pacers along with Kieron Pollard’s medium pace should be the ideal combination for Mumbai Indians.

In case they want an overseas bowler, they can bring back Tymal Mills into the XI depending on the opposition and match conditions.
