RR Qualification Scenario: How Rajasthan Royals Can Qualify For IPL 2022 Playoffs?

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) were one of the strongest teams on the paper after the mega auction this year. Moving forward 2 months, the Sanju Samson-led side is currently sitting in the 2nd spot in the league table with 16 points from 13 games.
The addition of veteran spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin has added a new dimension to their bowling attack. Meanwhile, their retentions Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson have been going all out this season smashing bowlers all over the park.
RR Sits On 2nd Spot Owing To Higher NRR
In their last game against the LSG, Rajasthan’s decision to bat initially ended up being right as they dashed away to a splendid beginning, regardless of losing Jos Buttler inexpensively. Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal worked together for an astounding stand and Devdutt Padikkal was unbelievable with his quickfire thump.
They lost the plot a little at the backend and it gave the idea that they were 15-20 runs low, however in the long run, their bowlers switched on the intensity and shielded the total productively.
The pursuit began on unacceptable note for Lucknow as Trent Boult pushed them back with his double strike. It was a body blow for the chasing side when they lost KL Rahul and it was difficult for them. From that point onward, Hooda and Krunal consolidated for a 65-run stand to keep Lucknow in the match, however, when this stand was broken, the pursuit bit the dust.
A clinical success for RR, and they go level on points with Lucknow. They showed only the right energy on the field, picked wickets, fabricated pressure, and didn’t allow the pressure to drop. It’s a great triumph for them, and they are currently number 2 on the table because of a predominant NRR.
RR To Give Their All For A Place In Qualifier 1
The Sanju Samson-drove side has leaped to the second spot with a superior net run rate (0.304). It’s currently a matter assuming they finish second or third in the group standings. Assuming that they wind up dominating their next match with a higher edge and better NRR will help the men dressed in pink to complete as number two.
They will play their next game against the Chennai Super Kings. In case RR is unable to win their next game, they will be looking at LSG’s game against KKR and hoping that Shreyas Iyer and his men come out as winners. In addition to this, they would also have to look at DC vs MI game. If DC wins that game with a good difference, that can send them up to the 2nd spot.
Therefore RR would be hoping that both LSG and DC their next game. This will make sure that the former champions qualify for the Qualifier -1 instead of playing the eliminator.
