Pat Cummins has proved to be very expensive in all the matches he has played so far for KKR in IPL 2022. Rajasthan Royals scored 217 batting first against KKR with Cummins going for 50 runs off his four overs. In all the four matches he has played so far, the Australian pacer has conceded over 40 runs in each of the games.

KKR have now lost three games on the bounce after making a good start to the season. Since winning their last match against Mumbai Indians. Kolkata Knight Riders have lost against Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. In all the matches, KKR’s bowling turned out to be expensive.

Analysing KKR’s loss, Aakash Chopra has criticised the senior pacer for going for way too many in his spells. He spoke about his spell on his Youtube channel saying that Cummins is reading only the table of 50.

“Jos (Buttler) scored a century and once again exposed your one weakness. If you see the entire bowling lineup, Umesh Yadav still did well in the initial few matches, Sunil Narine is the only constant.

“Everybody else is getting hammered. Pat Cummins is reading the table of 50. It seems Pat Cummins’ day is not complete unless he gets hit for 10-12 runs per over, he is getting hit so much,” Chopra said.

Since his heroics with the bat against MI, Cummins’ bat has blown cold. He handed Yuzvedra Chahal his maiden IPL hat-trick as he was the last of his three wickets.

KKR needed 40 off 24 balls when Yuzvendra Chahal‘s 17th over turned out to be the turning point as he took three back to back wickets dismissing KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Mavi and Cummins. Pat Cummins has conceded 190 runs from the four matches he has played so far this season.

Kolkata have now dropped down to the sixth position in the points table with seven games remaining in the league stage. Having lost three on the trot, they need to win all of their next seven games to give themselves a chance to make it to the playoffs.
