IPL 2021: Watch - Anrich Nortje Gets The Big Wicket Of David Warner In The First Over

Delhi Capitals (DC) speedster Anrich Nortje spoiled David Warner’s return to the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) eleven as he nipped out the opener on the third ball of the first over of their clash in Dubai on Wednesday.
After bowling a yorker on the first ball, and a good length delivery on the second, Anrich Nortje went a bit more short – a 147 kph snorter which kept rising on Warner, who tried to work it on the on-side but managed only a leading edge. The ball popped up in the air for a simple catch to Axar Patel at point.
Delhi have their first breakthrough in the very first over of the game. Warner, who was scrapped off his captaincy and dropped mid-season during the India leg, had a forgettable return as he departed for a 3-ball duck.
The two sides are sitting far away from each other in the points table after the first half of the season. Rishabh Pant’s team is placed second with 6 wins and 2 losses while Kane Williamson’s SRH lost 6 and won just a solitary match, and are languishing at the bottom of the table.
In Dubai, on Wednesday, DC aim to overtake CSK with a victory and reach closer to sealing a playoff berth while SRH, the 2016 champions, look to stay alive in the competition.
There has been a covid-19 scare in the SRH camp with pacer T Natarajan testing positive for the virus. However, the game was given the green light as decided after the rest of the contingent tested negative, including Natarajan’s six close contacts who have been placed in isolation.
