The Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Yashasvi Jaiswal had a sensational outing in the game against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, September 21. However, he was very unfortunate to miss out on his much deserving half-century. Notably, Mayank Agarwal took a brilliant catch to dismiss Jaiswal.
Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the innings with destructive West Indies opener Evin Lewis and provided an excellent start to the Rajasthan Royals (RR) franchise. They were seen playing aggressive strokes against every Punjab Kings (PBKS) bowler. However, youngster Arshdeep Singh was able to stop the carnage as he dismissed Evin Lewis in the 6th over at the score of 36.
Meanwhile, soon after the dismissal of Evin Lewis, the skipper of Rajasthan Royals (RR) Sanju Samson was also sent back to the pavilion by Ishan Porel. However, after that Liam Livingstone alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal showed the batting masterclass and both the batters looked amazing.
Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh once again played the role of saviour by dismissing explosive English batter Liam Livingstone. In the 12th over at the score of 25.
Yashasvi Jaiswal misses out on a half-century
Yashasvi Jaiswal who was hit hard on his crotch during the 8th over when Ishan Porel was bowling his spell, continued to dominate despite being in pain. Although he was seen in discomfort, still he stood up to support the Rajasthan Royals franchise.
Meanwhile, he was very unfortunate to miss out on a half-century as he was dismissed at the score of 49. The bowler responsible for sending the youngster back to the pavilion was spinner Harpreet Brar.
Yashasvi Jaiswal tried to play through the midwicket but the ball angled away and took the leading edge. Meanwhile, Mayank Agarwal who was standing at the short cover complete the amazing catch with a forward dive. Jaiswal would definitely be immensely disappointed on missing out on his half-century.
However, after the dismissal of the opener, Mahipal Lomror showed the power-hitting and was batting at the strike rate of 200+. His destructive innings helped Rajasthan Royals (RR) to post a big target.
