Ahead of the Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad encounter of IPL 2021, Suryakumar Yadav admitted that he has not performed his best for the team in IPL 2021. Suryakumar Yadav is part of Mumbai Indians in the tournament. Although he was in great form ahead of the IPL 2021 UAE leg, he could not smack big knocks for the team in IPL 2021.
In 13 innings so far, the right-handed batsman has scored 235 runs at an average of 18.07. He has held a strike rate of 129+ and hit just 1 half-century, which he scored during the 1st leg. He has struggled to come up with good knocks at the middle-order position. However, he is not the only batsman in bad form for MI. Most MI batsmen have struggled to perform consistently for the team.

Contribution For The Team Has Been A Little Disturbing From My Side, Says Suryakumar Yadav
Speaking ahead of the match, Suryakumar Yadav said that he is a little disturbed by the contribution he has given to the team in IPL 2021.
“Nothing changes, everything remains the same, all routines, all processes same. You get up, you follow everything, whatever you have been doing for the last 8-10 years, so everything remains the same. Contribution for the team – that has been a little disturbing from my side because since the last 2-3 seasons I have been always trying to be there whenever the team required,” Yadav said.
Yadav also said not being able to make contributions to the team hurts him. He also said that contributing to the team’s victory is the most important thing for him.
“This year I have not been part of contributions so that’s been hurting a lot more. But the show must go on. Staying consistent is the key at this point of my career. Trying to be always there whenever the team requires and contributing to the team’s victory – that’s the most important thing which I have been working on. We’ll see, let’s go all out and decide what’s gonna happen (About tonight’s game)”, Suryakumar Yadav further added.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians‘ hopes to make way for playoffs have almost diminished after KKR’s victory against Rajasthan Royals in the previous game. Due to a big gap between the net run rate between MI and KKR, Mumbai Indians need to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by a margin of 171 runs or more to finish on the 4th spot in the points table.
KKR currently have 14 points and take the 4th spot in IPL 2021 points table. They have a net run rate of +0.587. On the other hand, MI take the 6th spot with 12 points and have 1 more match to play. They have a net run rate of -0.048.
