IPL 2023 will take place in April-May this year. All the teams have set up their squads for the tournament. During IPL 2023 auction last month, all 10 franchises bought some key players in their squad.

Middle-order is a very crucial part of every team’s team batting. In IPL 2023, some teams have powerful middle-order batters in their squad. There are also some who lack mighty middle-order batsmen. Here we rate the middle-order of each team from best to worst.

IPL 2023: Rating The Middle-Order Of Each Team From Best To Worst

1. Gujarat Titans- 9.5 (Hardik Pandya, David Miller, Matthew Wade)

Gujarat Titans have the best middle-order in IPL 2023 and they get the highest rating of 9.5 out of 10. Their middle-order batting comprises Hardik Pandya, David Miller, and Matthew Hayden. All these three batters are powerful batters of their national team.

They are also regular members of their national T20I side. Hence, the trio makes up a powerful combination of middle-order batsmen.

2. Royal Challengers Bangalore- 9.0 (Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed)

Royal Challengers Bangalore gets the 2nd spot on this list with a rating of 9.0. For RCB’s middle order in IPL 2023 includes players like Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, and Shahbaz Ahmed.

Glenn Maxwell is a regular member of Australia in ODIs and T20I. Rajat Patidar and Shahbaz Ahmed got selected for Team India last year. Hence, they are a powerful set of middle-order batsmen.

3. Lucknow Super Giants- 8.5 (Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Nicholas Pooran)

Lucknow Super Giants takes the 3rd spot on this list with a rating of 8.5. Some middle-order batsmen for LSG in IPL 2023 are Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, and Nicholas Pooran. Out of these, Hooda and Pooran are part of India and West Indies national teams respectively. Last year, they gave impressive batting performances for the team.

4. Mumbai Indians- 8.0 (Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tim David)

Mumbai Indians get 4th place in this list. For Mumbai Indians, their middle-order batsmen in IPL 2023 are Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tim David. Tilak Verma showed a superb performance last season hitting 397 runs. Suryakumar Yadav is the top-ranked T20I batsman currently. Tim David is part of Australia’s T20I team.

Chennai Super Kings gets the 5th spot on this list with a rating of 7.5. For CSK, Ambati Rayudu, Ben Stokes, and Shivam Dube will be the middle-order batters in IPL 2023. The addition of Ben Stokes has strengthened CSK’s middle order. However, Ambati Rayudu is a little older player while Shivam Dube owns less international experience.

6. Sunrisers Hyderabad- 7.0 (Aiden Markram, Glenn Phillips, Harry Brook)

Sunrisers Hyderabad takes the 6th spot on this list with a rating of 7.0. For SRH, middle-order batters in IPL 2023 are Aiden Markram, Glenn Phillips, and Harry Brook. Aiden Markram plays for South Africa, Glenn Phillips plays for New Zealand, and Harry Brook plays for England. All these have a lot of international experience.

7. Rajasthan Royals- 6.5 (Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag)

Rajasthan Royals gets the 7th spot on this list. They have players like Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, and Riyan Parag in their middle order. Shimron Hetmyer is a powerful middle-order batsman who plays for West Indies national team.

Devdutt Padikkal and Riyan Parag played some good knocks last year. However, they do not have a lot of international experience.

8. Punjab Kings- 5.5 (Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Liam Livingstone, Shahrukh Khan)

Punjab Kings gets the 8th spot on this list with a rating of 5.5. Punjab Kings have players like Bhanauka Rajapaksa, Liam Livingstone, and Shahrukh Khan in their middle order. Rajapaksa is a hard-hitter who also plays for Sri Lanka in T20I.

Similarly, Liam Livingstone plays for England in T20Is. However, Shahrukh Khan has not played for India so far and lacks international exposure.

9. Delhi Capitals- 5.5 (Rovman Powell, Manish Pandey, Riley Rossouw)

With the absence of Rishabh Pant in IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals’ middle order faces a huge blow. They get the 9th spot on this list with a rating of 5.5. Rovman Powell, Manish Pandya, and Riley Rossouw will form DC’s middle order in IPL 2023.

Powell plays for West Indies while Rossouw plays for South Africa. Manish Pandey has struggled to score runs in the last few seasons.

10. Kolkata Knight Riders- 6.0 (Rinku Singh, Nitish Rana, David Wiese)

With a rating of 5.0, Kolkata Knight Riders get the last 10th spot on this list. For KKR, Rinku Singh, Nitish Rana, and David Wiese form their middle-order in IPL 2023. Nitish Rana has been a consistent performer in IPL in the past season.

Rinku Singh showed a good performance last season. David Wiese will make a comeback to IPL after a very long time. He last played in IPL 2016.
