SRH had won the toss & elected to bowl first against RR. It was a collective effort from RR batters as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler & Sanju Samson struck half centuries & took RR’s score to 203-5. RR have got a dangerous duo present in the form of Trent Boult & Jason Holder. Jason Holder‘s experience would be quite invaluable.

SRH’s left-arm pacer T Natarajan was the pick of the bowlers where he took 2wickets & gave away 23 runs in his 4 overs spell. RR batters capitalized on loose deliveries & made sure that they don’t play a string of dot balls. SRH  skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a forgettable outing as he conceded 36 runs in 3 overs.

Watch: Trent Boult gets the key wicket of Rahul Tripathi

SRH had a dreadful start to their run chase of 204 runs. Trent Boult was bowling the 1st over & on the 3rd delivery, he knocked off Abhishek Sharma’s off stump & dismissed him for a duck.

Rahul Tripathi came in to bat & on the 5th delivery of the over, Boult bowled a wide off-stump yorker as Tripathi wanted to guide the ball but got a thick edge & Jason Holder took a terrific catch in the first slip. Astonishingly, Rahul Tripathi reviewed the decision & later it showed that there was clear contact between the bat & ball. RR’s score at that time was 0-2 wickets in 0.5 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in deep trouble

SRH now would be banking on the rising sensation Harry Brook to play a scintillating knock. Brook has proved his mettle in the red ball format where this time he would be tested as RR have got a World Class bowling lineup where chasing more than 10 runs per over won’t be easy.

Skipper Sanju Samson would be considering giving 3 overs on a trot to Trent Boult as a couple of more wickets can put them in the ascendancy.  Boult has shown immense control over his line & length. It won’t be wrong to say that RR holds the upper hand as they got a lethal spin duo of Ashwin & Chahal who can bamboozle SRH batters.
