Daryl Mitchell will be another opener for the team. In the last game, he got out for a duck on his first delivery itself. However, this time he will look to come up with a good score. Mitchell is in very good form. He was the 2nd highest run-getter for New Zealand in ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and played a crucial match-winning knock of unbeaten 72 against England in the semi-final.

Mark Chapman played a magnificent knock of 62 runs in IND vs NZ 1st T20I. The left-handed batsman also built an important partnership of 109 runs with Martin Guptill. When Chapman arrived on the crease, New Zealand had lost opener Daryl Mitchell for a duck. However, Chapman held his nerves and played an important knock for the team.

Glenn Phillips

Glenn Phillips will be another batsman at the middle-order. He had a miserable show in the 1st T20I, getting out for a duck. However, he has played good knocks in the recent ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He will aim for a good show in the next game.

Tim Seifert (WK)

Tim Seifert will be the wicket-keeper for New Zealand in the IND vs NZ 2nd T20I. He scored 12 runs in the previous game. He started well with 2 boundaries but unfortunately became a victim of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Seifert is the only wicketkeeper team has in the squad and hence he makes his inclusion into the team in every game.

Ish Sodhi

Ish Sodhi might be the spinner for New Zealand in IND vs NZ 2nd T20I. Spinner Todd Astle emerged too expensive in his previous game. The Kiwi spinner conceded 34 runs in just 3 overs. Due to this, New Zealand also remained short of 1 full-time bowler to bowl the 20th over of the match. Hence, the team might rope in Ish Sodhi in the next game. Sodhi is the top wicket-taker in T20I encounters between India and New Zealand.
