IND vs NZ: Suryakumar Yadav, Washington Sundar And Kulddep Yadav Visit Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple, Pray For Rishabh Pant's Speedy Recovery

Three Indian players visited Ujjain’s Mahaleshwar Temple ahead of IND vs NZ 3rd ODI. Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, and Washington Sundar visited the temple with some support staff and offered players.

They also prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. Rishabh Pant suffered a car accident last month and faced multiple injuries. He is admitted to the hospital and is undergoing treatment. He is making good progress but will need some months to return to the field.

We Prayed For Speedy Recovery of Rishabh Pant: Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav told ANI that they prayed for the speedy recovery of their teammate Rishabh Pant.

“We prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. His comeback is very important to us. We have already won the series against New Zealand, looking forward to the final match against them,” Suryakumar Yadav told ANI.

The players and staff also attended the ‘Bhasma Aarti’ of Lord Shiva that took place in the temple in the early hours. Some photos of the players were shared on social media in which they could be seen wearing traditional outfits like dhoti.

IND vs NZ: India Has Already Won The ODI Series

The Indian cricket team is currently in Indore for the 3rd IND vs NZ ODI, which is set to take place at Holkar Cricket Stadium. The match is scheduled to be played on January 24 (Tuesday). India has already won the series after winning the opening two ODI games.

India won the 1st ODI by 12 runs and the 2nd ODI by 8 wickets. After the ODI series, Team India will also play three T20I games against New Zealand. The three T20I games are set to take place on January 27, 29, and February 1.

Rohit Sharma leads India in the ODI series. However, Hardik Pandya will lead the team in the T20I series. Many key players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, and Mohammed Shami will be absent from the T20I series.
