Siechem Madurai Panthers are one of the eight TNPL teams and one of the only four teams that are playing in the tournament since the inaugural season in 2016. They have won the competition once so far.

Madurai Panthers' journey in TNPL began in a disastrous fashion. They finished at the bottom of the points table in the first two seasons. In both the seasons, they could not register a single win. In 2016, the Panthers lost all of their 7 league games. In 2017, they lost 6 of their 7 league games while one match ended in a no result.

After two disastrous campaigns, the Madurai-based outfit finally bounced back in 2018 and did it in style. Not only did they end their long wait for a win but went all the way to win the tournament as well. They finished the league stage at the second spot in the points table.

In the playoffs, they lost the first qualifier against Dindigul Dragons before beating Lyca Kovai Kings in the second qualifier to make it to the final. In the final, they beat the Dragons by 7 wickets to clinch their maiden title.

In 2019, Madurai Panthers made it to the playoffs but not the final. They finished third in the points table at the end of the league stage. They bowed out of the tournament after a loss to Dindigul Dragons in the second qualifier.

In 2021, Madurai Panthers managed to win only 2 league games and failed to progress to the playoffs. They bounced back strongly in 2022 but once again failed to make it to the final. With 5 wins from 7 games, Madurai Panthers finished the league stage at the third spot in the points table. Their campaign ended with a defeat to Lyca Kovai Kings in the Eliminator.

They qualified for the playoffs in 2023 as well but could not make it to the final. The Madurai-based outfit bowed out after a loss to Nellai Royal Kings in the Eliminator. Madurai Panthers had a disappointing campaign in TNPL 2024 as they failed to advance ahead of the league stage.
