IND vs SL: "Happy With My Own Performance"- Dasun Shanaka After Losing The 3rd T20I Match Against India

Sri Lankan Cricket Team suffered a massive defeat against India in the 3rd T20I match. The island nation lost the match by 91 runs while chasing a mammoth 230. The visitors once again failed to win the T20I series in India where this time they showed a lot of character as compared to the 2022 tour.
The Island nation would be utterly disappointed with their performance as they allowed Suryakumar Yadav to get into the groove. The dashing right-handed batter smashed an unbeaten 112 runs in 51 balls where he struck 7 fours and 9 sixes. It looked as if he was toying with the bowlers as he whacked them all around the park.

Dasun Shanaka managed to score 23 runs in 17 balls where he struck 2 sixes. The required run rate was way beyond reach for the skipper and at the same time, he didn’t get any support from the rest of the batters which hurt the team a lot.
Shanaka should have brought him into the attack when Suryakumar was in beast mode. We should not forget that he has a decent record against India. India on the other hand would be pumped up as questions were raised after the defeat in the 2nd T20I match.

Before coming here, I wasn’t in form- Dasun Shanaka
During post match presentation, Dasun Shanaka was asked about his form and the match. “Before coming here, I wasn’t in form. From the start of this series, I got in good form. Happy with my own performance. The way the boys fought in this series, lots of positives. I had a finger injury, that’s the reason I didn’t bowl in this series but looking forward to bowling in the ODIs.” said Dasun Shanaka.
In the end, I want to keep calm- Dasun Shanaka
Wishing the Indian team well, especially Surya who was too good. In the field, I want to keep calm and let the boys learn. When I come to bat, it’s a different game. Added Dasun Shanaka
