Umran Malik, a speedster for Team India, addressed the questions about the economy that come with his high speed. In his first few months as an Indian player, the right-arm bowler took a lot of wickets, but he also let up runs.

“You have to be physically and mentally strong to bowl fast consistently. I am bowling fast in the middle overs and getting wickets for my team. I will concede runs when I bowl at my pace, so let the people say what they want to, I only want to bowl well with a good rhythm and work hard, whenever I am with the team. We will continue to stick with our plans.”

Due to his success with the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the speedster entered the national team (SRH). Prior to the home series against South Africa, he was given his first call-up, although he had to wait a long before making his debut.

Malik shared his thoughts on his time with the Indian squad, saying, “It all started with the IPL, and I’ve been associated with the Indian team ever since, so it’s a proud feeling for me because playing for India was my ambition. I’ve done well thus far and will continue to do well whenever the opportunity arises.”

Umran Malik won’t play in the last One-Day International against Sri Lanka at Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield Stadium. Both the bowler and Hardik Pandya have taken a break. India already holds a commanding 2-0 series lead.
