Australia and England are set to lock horns in the upcoming The Ashes 2021. The Ashes, which is one of the most followed Test series in international cricket, will be played on Australian soil this time. Australia are the current champions of the tournament as they managed to defend the urn in The Ashes 2019 when the series ended in a draw.

The Ashes 2021 will witness a total of 5 Test matches and all of them will be part of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23. The 1st Test commences on December 8 (Wednesday). The venue of the match is The Gabba in Brisbane. The 5th and final Test will commence on January 14 at Perth Stadium.

England currently hold the 5th spot out of 7 teams in ICC World Test Championship 2021-23. Australia, on the other hand, have not played a single Test so far in the tournament. The results of The Ashes 2021 will certainly affect the ICC WTC 2021-23 points table.
