Since the ball witnessed a big deflection towards the offside, the on-field umpire thought it hit the pads and gave Stokes out with LBW. However, the England all-rounder reviewed the decision. In the replays, it was seen that the ball did not hit the pads and rather hit the off stump, however, the bails did not dislodge. Even Ben Stokes laughed after watching replays on the big screen as he couldn’t believe what actually happened.
Earlier, Australia slammed 416-8 (d) in the 1st innings of the AUS vs ENG 4th Test with a spectacular century by Usman Khawaja (137).
