UAE will provide the best batting conditions for every team in the Asia Cup 2022. This gives another opportunity for Babar Azam and Pakistan to win another Major tournament. Pakistan narrowly missed out on making it to the T20 World Cup final under Babar last year. The Asia Cup is noa another big opportunity for Babar Azam to make an impactful performance.

Bangladesh: Shakib Al Hasan

Shakib Al Hasan is Bangladesh’s biggest hope in any major tournament. Similarly, in the Asia Cup 2022, he will be the biggest hope for his team. Shakib has been very picky and choosy when it comes to playing international cricket for his side. He pulled out from the South Africa ODI series followed by the ODI and T20I series against West Indies. BCB will hope that he will available for the Asia Cup where his team will need his all-round potential.

Sri Lanka : Wanindu Hasaranga

Sri Lanka will pin their hopes on their leg spinner Wanindu Hasaranga to bowl them to victory in the Asia Cup. He was their highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup last year and since then has been a regular member of the Lankan white-ball side. He even has the potential to become their captain in the future.

Afghanistan: Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan is the biggest hope for Afghanistan heading into Asia Cup 2022. They are yet to win any major tournament but have a real chance to upset a few teams given that the tournament will be played in the T2- format. This is a format that produces the best Afghan players and they can fancy themselves to even win this tournament

Virat Kohli has had a rough time in international cricket across formats over the last two years. He has not been able to score an international century and not score heavily in the meantime. He has been dismissed in identical fashion repeatedly across formats as well. He will be touring Zimbabwe and also will play the Asia Cup ahead of the T20 World Cup later this year in Australia. The BCCI is hoping for Virat Kohli to find his form in these two tournaments. A good run in the tournament can also see Kohli winning the Man of the Tournament award.
