IND vs PAK: India Are In A Dilemma Of Playing Either Rishabh Pant Or Dinesh Karthik – Danish Kaneria Ahead Of India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2022 Game

Former Pakistan National Cricket Team player Danish Kaneria has said that the upcoming high-profile Asia Cup 2022 clash between arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, on Sunday is a 50-50 contest.

Pakistan defeated Hong Kong by 155 runs on Friday to qualify for the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2022. The Men In Green are set to lock horns with arch-rivals India on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and they will aim to take revenge after a 5-wicket defeat in the group stage round against India.

Meanwhile, Kaneria said that Team India have got many talented players in the team who are capable enough to be a part of the playing XI and this has led to confusion for the team management.

“The win against Hong Kong was an important one for Pakistan for the Sunday match. The Sunday match is 50-50, it’s anybody’s game, Pakistan can beat India on that day,” said Danish Kaneria on live streaming organised by the Koo app.

“Team India is confused at the moment, they are with two wicketkeepers and are in a dilemma of playing either Rishabh Pant or Dinesh Karthik. Deepak Hooda who had performed well is out of the team and there is a bowling concern for India too, especially Avesh Khan who leaks too many runs,” said Kaneria.

“T20 is anybody’s game, and on the given day if you have a good playing XI you can win,” he added.

Pakistan need big runs from Babar Azam – Danish Kaneria

Kaneria further said that the Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will have to fire with the bat because the team can’t rely on the middle order. He added that Team Pakistan lack good finishers and India, on the other hand, have got supremely talented Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik .

“Babar Azam has been performing well but in a major tournament he is not been able to live up to the mark and that is a worrying sign. We cannot rely on Pakistan’s middle order, Babar and Rizwan have to score. Pakistan need big runs from Babar Azam,” said Kaneria.

“India has finisher like Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik but Pakistan doesn’t have anyone with a capability of scoring big in the lower order,” he added.
