Former India National Cricket Team player Suresh Raina has said that the 22-year-old leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has a lot of potential and he can become as successful as the Afghanistan star leg-spinner Rashid Khan.

The leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who plays for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has played 10 T20Is and 1 ODI for India National Cricket Team. He has picked up 16 wickets in 20-over cricket and 1 wicket in 50-over cricket for the Men In Blue.

During the ‘Next-Gen Superstars,’ a new episode of ‘Legends Lounge’ on Jio Cinema, Suresh Raina picked Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi as the future superstars. While talking about the leggie Ravi Bishnoi, he said:

“If you see all the big bowlers who have earned their stripes in Test cricket, I think Bishnoi with his character and way of delivering the ball, will become someone like Rashid Khan.”

Suresh Raina was joined by Aakash Chopra, RP Singh, Robin Uthappa, Pragyan Ojha and Parthiv Patel on the panel and they discussed future superstars of Indian cricket.

Pragyan Ojha named Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma as the future superstars. He discussed the good all-round ability of the SRH player and further revealed that he has seen MI player Tilak Varma’s development.

“He’s from Hyderabad. I have seen his development since he was a kid. I am talking about him in U-15 and U-16 cricket and how hard he works. His schedule involves going to the ground at 6 AM and come home at 6 PM. He only takes a 30-45-minute lunch break. He is thoroughly dedicated,” Ojha said.

The two players selected by RP Singh were Arshdeep Singh and Yashasvi Jaiswal. He lauded the RR opener and said:

“If you look at his batting in the domestic circuit, you can tell there is something different about him. His game-reading sense, his batting technique, or his know-how of how to end a match. The good thing about him is that even if he makes 50, he is looking ahead at his 100.”

Parthiv Patel, meanwhile, wanted to pick Tilak Varma as the future batting superstar, but he decided to talk about Prithvi Shaw and pacer Yash Dayal.

“The way (Shaw) has been batting in domestic games, we can see he plays well. Questions have been raised about his fitness and if he overcomes all these doubts, I think he has an incredible future ahead of him,” Patel said.

“My choice for bowler is Yash Dayal. Good bowler. If there was a standout bowler last year, I think everyone could see it was Yash Dayal.”

Also, Robin Uthappa named Tilak Varma as the future batting superstar and Mohsin Khan as the future bowling superstar in Indian cricket.
