Babar Azam is Definitely Australia’s Biggest Threat: Brett Lee
While speaking on the Follow-On podcast, former Aussie pacer Brett Lee said that Babar Azam will be Australia’s biggest threat during the tour. Lee also said that Babar Azam is an attacking player and his technique is absolutely first-class.
“He’s absolutely world-class. Tell me a guy in world cricket who has got a better technique or cover drive than Babar. You can think of three guys… one being Kohli, one being Root and Williamson also springs to mind. Babar is an attacking player but his technique is absolutely first-class”.
“He’s definitely Australia’s biggest threat. You’ve to get Babar out early and try to nick him off as any batsman can get nicked off. That’s probably Australia’s greatest way to win this Test series,” Brett Lee said.
While Babar Azam will lead Pakistan in all the games, Australia will be led by Pat Cummins in the Test series. Aaron Finch will lead the side in the ODI series and the one-off T20I game. Australia is touring Pakistan for the first time after 1998.
Pakistan vs Australia 1st Test will be played from March 4-8. The 2nd Test will be played from March 12-16 while the 3rd Test will take place from March 21-25. The three ODI games will be played on March 29, March 31, and April 2. The Australia tour of Pakistan 2022 will conclude with the one-off T20I on April 5.
