Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh answered why ODI World Cup 2011 champions never played together again. Team India won the ODI World Cup 2011 title by defeating Sri Lanka in the final by 6 wickets in April 2011.
However, due to injuries or poor form, the same playing XI never played for Team India in any match again. MS Dhoni was the skipper of Team India in the ODI World Cup 2011. Under his captainship, India won the title for the second time after 1983.

“I don’t know that. They were probably used till the World Cup only and it’s a mystery for me as well why that team never assembled again even for one match, which is very surprising. I wish things could be taken back and rectified.
It will be good if we come together and play a game. It will be great fun but very unfortunate that the team didn’t assemble again and didn’t play another tournament or even one match,” said the former off-spinner.

Harbhajan Singh is also unable to understand why the team had so many changes suddenly after winning the World Cup in 2011. He also said that there were some players who could have played even after the World Cup.
“It is beyond my understanding that the team was very good until we won the 2011 World Cup but suddenly so many changes in that team after that. People who were winning games, they were no more good. There were some players in that team for whom it seemed like it was their last World Cup but there were quite a few players who could have played. Yes, we were aged but we could have played,” the former right-arm spinner further said.
Under skipper MS Dhoni, India won the ODI World Cup 2011- winning the trophy for the second time after 1983. Legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, and Zaheer Khan among others are part of the team in the final.
