India is set to play World Test Championship 2019-21 final against New Zealand. The ICC WTC final Test match will start on June 18, 2021, at Rose Bowl Cricket Stadium in Southampton. The Indian team defeated Australia 2-1 in Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 on Australian soil. Later, India defeated England 3-1 on home soil which finalized their spot in the finals against New Zealand.

India topped the ICC World Test Championship points table after finishing with 520 points. India played 6 Test series in WTC, in which they won 12 matches, lost 4 while 1 ended in a draw. On the other hand, New Zealand attained the 2nd spot in the WTC points table with 420 points.

New Zealand played 5 Test series in which they won 7 matches and lost 4 matches. Many players have played admirably in World Test Championship so far.
