SA20 League is considered to be the next big thing in World Cricket. The league is set to commence on 10th January and all the teams have been owned by IPL franchises which makes the league an enthralling one.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has taken a massive risk as they have given up their World Super League Points. They were scheduled to play the 3 Match ODI Series against Australia. South Africa now is on the cusp of losing a direct qualification for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Graeme Smith On BCCI
Graeme Smith was having an interaction with the media and was asked about Indian cricketers. “India has some of the most talented and vibrant cricketers in the world. Obviously, everyone would want to have the Indian talent play. Our fans would love it. But it is the BCCI’s prerogative. It is their players and they can make those choices. If that changes, it will hopefully be an opportunity for us to bring some outstanding talent to South Africa. At the moment, it is what it is.” said Graeme Smith

“Exposure to conditions…I remember I had never seen the ball spin and bounce (before coming to India). I had never seen short leg and silly point. I was used to seeing fielders behind me with people bowling at 140-150 kph. So, exposure is certainly there. But, also it happens a lot now. India puts out two outstanding teams at the same time.” he added.
Exciting League on Cards
It is believed that the SA20 league can change the dynamics of South African Cricket. A lot of big Cricketers have signed up for the league so we can expect fascinating action. With Indian franchises, there’s no doubt that there would be jam-packed crowd.

Cricket South Africa’ (CSA) main agenda would be to find match-winners as we all witnessed how the team lost against the Netherlands in T20 WC. With this league, there are chances that South Africa may change their T20I Captain as Bavuma had a terrible campaign.
