India’s Playing 11 vs West Indies for 2nd T20I- IND vs WI 2023. India take on West Indies in the second IND vs WI T20I in Guyana on Sunday, July 6. The match starts at 10.30 am local time which is 8 pm IST. The third T20I will also be played in Guyana with the final two at Lauderhill, Florida.

India are trailing in the five-match series and needs to win the next game to level the series. The Indian batters choked under pressure and could not chase down the 150 required for victory.

On the other hand, West Indies, in their favored format found a way to challenge India with just one spinner in the lineup. Their bowlers backed up the good job done by their batters and played their part in earning their team a well-deserved victory.

The Indian batting needs to step up in the second T0I after being well below par in the first T20I. India lost from a position where they required 37 runs off the last 30 balls in the match. They must look to avoid making similar mistakes.

The bowlers will also look to replicate their first T20I performance. There is no Indian bowler in the top 10 T20I rankings. Amongst the all-rounders, Hardik Pandya is slated at number two after Shakib Al Hasan. In this article, we take a look at the predicted playing XI for India in the second T20I.

Jaiswal should ideally replace Shubman Gill in the batting order. He showed good batting form in the Test series. Gill, on the other hand, struggled in the Test series scoring just 45 runs. He had low scores in the first two ODIs and was dismissed cheaply in the first T20I as well. If Jaiswal plays on Sunday, it will be his T20I debut.

Ishan Kishan (WK)

Kishan will open the batting with Jaiswal. The southpaw scored three back-to-back fifties in the ODI series and was the Man of the Series. Kishan just scored six in the first T20I.

Suryakumar Yadav

Yadav will slot in at three, He has the most runs in this format among the current players in the squad. He scored a run-a-ball 21 before falling to Jason Holder. He needs to bat with a lot more responsibility in this T20I series.

The southpaw will slot in at four. He impressed one and all on his debut scoring 39 runs and starting his T20I career with back-to-back sixes. He has a chance to score the most runs in the series.
