A total of 333 players have been shortlisted for IPL Auction 2024. Out of these, there are 214 Indian players and 119 overseas players. Also, 333 players comprise 116 capped players and 215 uncapped players. Players have categorized themselves in different salary caps. The highest base price is Rs. 2 crore while the lowest base price is Rs. 20 lakh.

IPL Auction 2024 Live Updates: Date, Time, and Venue

IPL Auction 2024 is set to take place on Tuesday, December 19. The venue of the event is Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, UAE. This is the first time that an IPL auction will take place outside India. The IPL Auction 2024 will begin at 1 PM (IST) in India.

Although 333 players will be part of IPL Auction 2024, there are only 77 slots available across all the 10 teams. Out of these, there are 30 spots reserved for overseas players. Kolkata Knight Riders have the most number of 12 available slots. Next on the list is Delhi Capitals with 9 available slots. Notably, each team can grab at least 6 more players into their squad during the mini-auction.

IPL 2024 Auction Live Updates: Purse Value

All the 10 teams have a total of Rs. 262.25 crore available in their salary purse. Gujarat Titans have the maximum salary purse available at Rs. 38.15. They are followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (Rs. 34 crore) and Kolkata Knight Riders (32.70 cr).

Chennai Super Kings (Rs. 31.40 cr), Punjab Kings (Rs. 29.10 cr), and Delhi Capitals (Rs. 28.95 cr) also have a large sum of funds available for IPL Auction 2024. Teams like Lucknow Super Giants (Rs.13.15 cr), Mumbai Indians (Rs.17.75), and Rajasthan Royals (Rs. 14.5 cr) have the least salary purse available.

IPL 2024 Auction Live Updates: Salary Caps

Like every season, the top three salary cap brackets in IPL Auction 2024 are Rs. 2 crore, Rs. 1.5 crore, and Rs. 1 crore. A total of 23 players have kept themselves in the top salary bracket of Rs. 2 crore. 13 players have kept a base price of Rs. 1.5 crore while 14 players are part of the Rs. 1 crore salary bracket.

The rest of the players are part of salary caps like Rs. 75 lakh, Rs. 50 lakh, and Rs. 40 lakh. The lowest salary cap is Rs. 20 lakh and many uncapped players are part of that category.
