India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma confirmed that his team won't be playing the 3-day practice game against India A ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The captain confirmed the development at the end of the third Test against New Zealand in Mumbai.

India National Cricket Team will be next taking on Australia National Cricket Team in the Test cricket. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the five-match Test series, which will be extremely important for the team, especially after a 3-0 loss to New Zealand.

Rohit Sharma confirms that the three-day window for practice would now be utilized for centre pitch match simulation

This was supposed to be the only warmup game and was set to be played from November 15 to November 17. But skipper Rohit Sharma confirmed that the three-day window would now be utilized for center pitch match simulation ahead of the first Test against the Australia National Cricket Team.

This will be the first time in the last two tours that the India National Cricket Team won't be playing a warmup game ahead of the main series. They played a three-day game against Australia A. In the series before that, in the 2018-19 series, they had faced Cricket Australia XI in a four-day game.

Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, India suffered a 3-0 whitewash against New Zealand

Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, the India National Cricket Team suffered a 3-0 whitewash against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. They would now be hoping to turn around things in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 and repay the faith of the fans.

India have been dominant on their last two tours to Australia. They won two back-to-back series down under and would want to achieve something similar this time around. With the baggage of a series loss at home, the Rohit Sharma-led side would be the wounded lion and would be underdogs going into the series.

After the game in Perth, the focus will then shift to the second game, which will be a day and night fixture and will be played in Adelaide from 6th December.

Following that, India and Australia will play at Gabba in Brisbane from 14th December, which will be the fourth Test. After that Boxing Day Test at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will be from 26th December. The last match will be played in Sydney from 3rd January.
