BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has congratulated the Indian Cricket Team after they registered a memorable win over Australia on Tuesday in Brisbane. Team India cleared off a magnificent series a win over Australia as they retained the Border-Gavaskar trophy beating Australia at the Gabba.

Team India beat Australia in the fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy by 3 wickets on Tuesday. After resuming the proceedings for just 4 runs on Tuesday, the Indian Cricket Team fought back hard to register a remarkable win over Australia as the mighty Kangaroos fell to the dust.

Sourav Ganguly Congratulates Team India For A Remarkable Win Over Australia

The BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly, took to Twitter and congratulated team India after they won the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy and retained the trophy on Tuesday.

“Just a remarkable win…To go to Australia and win a test series in this way ..will be remembered in the history of Indian cricket forever ..Bcci announces a 5 cr bonus for the team ..The value of this win is beyond any number ..well done to every member of the touring party,” Sourav Ganguly wrote.

The Indian cricket team registered one of the greatest displays of batting on the final day of the Brisbane Test. First up, Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara scored magnificent half-centuries to put India in a strong position. Then, Rishabh Pant put the cherry on the cake to seal off a historic win over Australia.

Team India Registers Historic Win Over Australia

The win over Australia is none short than a historic feat. Australia were beaten for the first time in 32 years at the Gabba. The Australian Cricket Team had been unbeaten in the last 32 games at the Gabba and the Indian cricket team broke this record too. This was India’s third-highest successful run chase in Test cricket.

Now, the Indian Cricket Team will take on England in the Test series from February 5 at home. The Indian selection committee will choose the team for the first two Tests on Tuesday.
