In the before last season, they roped in Lungi Ngidi, who delivered the goods and now, they are smart enough in purchasing a player like Josh Hazlewood for his base price of INR 2 Crores. Earlier in the auction, they picked Piyush Chawla before losing a bidding war for Nathan Coulter-Nile.

While Chawla became the most expensive Indian buy at Rs 6.75 crore, Hazlewood was lapped up for his base price of Rs 2 crore. This will be the first season for Josh Hazlewood in the Indian Premier League. Despite possessing incredible talent, he never made into the Indian Premier League for obvious reasons.

His unrelenting accuracy has choked a lot of batsmen, and he has also tried to add up a few variations up his sleeve to suit the format.
