All Rounder Ravindra Jadeja yet again showed why he is regarded as one of the finest fielders of the modern generation during the 2nd ODI between India and Australia played at the PCA Stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur. The left-arm spinner inflicted a bullet direct hit to dismiss Peter Handscomb. He looked in great touch and brought India back into the game.
Handscomb who played well till that point challenged Jadeja’s arm. However, he failed to reach his crease by quite a distance. It was absolutely a rocket arm and it was released so quickly that Handscomb had no chance of making it.
Harsha Bhogle during the match that it is why Ravindra Jadeja was asked to hit the stumps from different angles in a promotional event and he kept doing that with disdain. Indeed he has been a champion fielder and arguably the best ever India has seen. Handscomb in all likelihood will dare to challenge Jadeja’s arm in the future.

It was Australian captain Aaron Finch who won the toss and opted to field. The hosts had a poor start losing both the openers in quick succession. It was a scintillating knock from the blade of skipper Virat Kohli which ensured India reached a competitive total of 250 runs. After the fall of Kohli’s wicket, India folded out for 250. They failed to play their full quota of 50 overs.
The pitch wasn’t easy to bat on. But the Australian openers Usman Khawaja and Aaron Finch started off brilliantly and shared a fluent stand of 78 runs in quick time. Finch regained his lost touch after a long time before getting dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav. It was Kedar Jadhav who bagged the 2nd wicket. He induced a false shot from Khawaja’s blade.

Ravindra Jadeja shattered the stumps with a bullet throw
Peter Handscomb looked in great touch but it was Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja who kept the pressure by bagging the wickets of Glenn Maxwell and Shaun Marsh. Just when a partnership was starting to threaten India, it was Ravindra Jadeja who shattered the stumps as Peter Handscomb attempted a risky run. When the article was written Australia still required 55 of 47 deliveries with Alex Carey and Marcus Stoinis in the crease.
