Watch: Hilarious Scenes As Ashton Turner Opens His Account After Three Ducks

Ashton Turner has had a disastrous start to his Indian Premier League (IPL) career for Rajasthan Royals. Earlier this week, he became the first player in T20 history to register five ducks in a row after he was dismissed for three consecutive first-ball ducks in the IPL. He registered his first duck against Kings XI Punjab when he came out in a precarious situation. With the Royals needing 53 from 22 balls, Turner holed out on the very first delivery.

In his second game which was against Mumbai Indians, he walked out with 15 runs needed from 14 balls. The situation was ideal for him to spend some time in the middle and boost his confidence. However, Jasprit Bumrah trapped him plumb in front on the very first ball. In his third outing against Delhi Capitals, he took strike with 21 balls remaining.  He had the license to go all out with the bat but he ended up chipping his first ball to cover.  Before the IPL, he had recorded ducks in his last two innings of the Big Bash League.

Well, he finally ended the sequence on Saturday against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Royals were just 13 runs short in pursuit of 161 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.  And when he flicked his first ball for a single, there were some hilarious scenes all around. Turner himself was laughing and so was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who was bowling that over. The camera soon focused on the Royals dressing room and each member of the team was applauding Turner.

He remained unbeaten on 3 from 7 as Royals thrashed Sunrisers by seven wickets to keep their playoff hopes alive.  With 5 wins from 12 games, the Royals moved to the sixth spot in the points table.
