Dindigul Dragons - Season-wise performance:
Dindigul Dragons were one of the best performing teams in the inaugural TNPL season in 2016. They finished the league stage at the second spot with 5 wins from 7 games. They missed out on the top spot only because of net run-rate. However, they could not qualify for the final as they lost the semifinal against eventual champions Tuti Patriots.
The Dragons had a forgettable campaign in the second season of the TNPL. They bowed out of the tournament at the league stage after finishing at the sixth spot. They managed to win only 2 of their 7 league games.
Dindigul Dragons finished runners-up in the third season of the TNPL. With 5 wins from 7 games, they finished the league stage at the top of the table before beating Madurai Panthers in the first qualifier to make it to the final for the first time. In the final, they suffered a 7-wicket loss at the hands of Madurai Panthers.
For the second season in a row, Dindigul Dragons qualified for the final but ended up on the wrong side of the result. They finished the league stage at the top of the table before losing the first qualifier against Chepauk Super Gillies. The Dragons then beat defending champions Madurai Panthers in the second qualifier before losing to Super Gillies once again in the final.
Dindigul Dragons' campaign in 2021 TNPL season ended at the playoffs stage. They finished the league stage at the third spot in the points table. They beat Lyca Kovai Kings in the Eliminator before losing to eventual winners Chepauk Super Gillies in the second qualifier.
The Dragons had a disappointing campaign in TNPL 2022. With just 2 wins from 7 games, they finished at the sixth spot in the points table and failed to qualify for the playoffs.
In 2023, Dindigul Dragons' campaign ended at the playoffs stage. They finished the league stage at the second spot in the points table with 6 wins from 7 games. In the first qualifier, they lost against eventual winners Lyca Kovai Kings before losing to Nellai Royal Kings in the second qualifier.
Dindigul Dragons finally won their maiden TNPL title in 2024 by beating defending champions Lyca Kovai Kings in the final. They finished the league stage at the fourth spot in the table before beating Chepauk Super Gillies in the Eliminator. In the second qualifier, they beat Tiruppur Tamizhans before beating Kovai Kings in the title-decider.
