Dindigul Dragons Team Squad 2025

Dindigul Dragons are one of the eight teams participating in the TNPL. Owned by Take Solutions, they have been participating in the tournament since the inaugural season in 2016. They have won the tournament once so far while finishing runners-up twice.

In the first season of the TNPL, the Dragons enjoyed an impressive campaign although they could not go all the way. They finished the league stage at the second spot in the points table and missed out on the top spot only because of net run-rate. Their campaign ended with a defeat to Tuti Patriots in the semifinal.

In the second season, the Dragons failed to impress. Their campaign ended at the league stage after they managed to win only 2 of their 7 league games. They bounced back in style in 2018 and finished runners-up. In the league stage, the Dragons won 5 of the 7 games and finished at the top of the table. They beat Madurai Panthers in the first qualifier before losing to the same side in the final.

The Dragons qualified for the final in 2019 too but once again lost the final. After a top-of-the-table finish in the league stage, they lost the first qualifier against Chepauk Super Gillies. The Dragons then beat defending champions Madurai Panthers in the second qualifier before losing to Super Gillies once again in the final.

In 2021, the Dragons qualified for the playoffs but could not make it to the final. In the playoffs, they won the Eliminator against Lyca Kovai Kings before losing to eventual winners Chepauk Super Gillies in the second qualifier.

They had a forgettable campaign in 2022. The Dragons bowed out of the tournament at the league stage with just 2 wins from 7 games. In 2023, they made it to the playoffs once again but failed to progress to the final. Their campaign ended with a defeat to Nellai Royal Kings in the second qualifier.

The Dragons secured their first TNPL title in 2024 with a win over two-time defending champions Lyca Kovai Kings in the final. They finished the league stage at the fourth spot in the table before beating Chepauk Super Gillies in the Eliminator. In the second qualifier, they beat Tiruppur Tamizhans to storm into the final for the third time.
