With 5 IPL titles under his belt, Rohit Sharma is the most successful skipper in the Indian Premier League. In IPL 2021, he scored 381 runs in 13 games and finished as the top run-getter for the team.

Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah is the second player that Mumbai Indians have retained for IPL 2022. Bumrah is the most crucial pacer for the team. He has been part of the team since his debut edition in 2013. In the last season, he scalped 21 wickets in 14 games at an average of 19.52 and finished as the top run-scorer.

Suryakumar Yadav is another player that Mumbai Indians have retained for the next season. The right-handed batsman has been offered Rs. 8 crores to stay in the team. Yadav mustered 317 runs in 14 games in IPL 2021 with 2 half-centuries.

Kieron Pollard

Kieron Pollard is the 4th player that the franchise has retained for next season, giving him a deal of Rs. 6 crore. Kieron Pollard has been part of the franchise since his debut edition in 2010 and is the vice-captain of the team. In IPL 2021, he scored 245 runs in 14 games and picked 5 wickets.

Jonny Bairstow

For the wicketkeeper’s role, Mumbai Indians might go for Jonny Bairstow. Bairstow was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021 but has been released by the team.
