Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a must-win match in match 61 of IPL 2022 in Pune. Hyderabad beat KKR earlier in the season and the Knights will be looking forward to give one back to SRH now. A loss for either team would mean that they are almost out of playoff contention in IPL 2022.
Kolkata Knight Riders won their previous match against the Mumbai Indians. They have lost seven matches this season so far. They have lost twice against Delhi Capitals, once against RCB, SRH, RR and LSG so far.
The side has struggled to pick a proper combination, However, they recalled some of the key Indian players who clicked in the game against Mumbai. Umesh Yadav missed the game but the likes of Venkatesh Iyer and Varun Chakravarthy, two of the retained players contributed to the team’s win. Barring Umesh’s return, there should be no other changes in the playing XI.
KKR vs SRH: Kolkata Knight Riders’ Predicted Playing XI Against Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL 2022, Match 61 KKR vs SRH
Venkatesh Iyer
Iyer found his form in the last match against Mumbai Indians. He scored a quickfire 43 and gave his team a good start. His job will remain the same in the next game against SRH as well.

Ajinkya Rahane
Rahane scored just 25 for Kolkata Knight Riders but was the ideal foil for the attacking Venkatesh Iyer. They added 60 for the first wicket inside the powerplay giving KKR their first fifty-plus stand of the season.
Shreyas Iyer
Iyer will slot in at number three. Being the skipper of the side, it allows him to anchor the innings. He has scored 336 runs this season so far.
Nitish Rana

Rana has been consistent for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the last few games. He scored 43 and kept the run-scoring on in the middle-overs. The southpaw will slot in at number four.
Rinku Singh / Umesh Yadav
Umesh Yadav missed the last couple of games due to a niggle. If he is fit he will come back into the XI most probably in place of Rinku Singh. If he is not fit yet, Rinku will retain his place in the XI.
Sheldon Jackson
Jackson will be the first-choice keeper in the KKR playing XI. Though his keeping has been brilliant, he has not produced much with the bat. He scored just five against Mumbai Indians.
Andre Russell
Russell will slot in at number six in the playing XI. He is inching closer to 300 runs for KKR in the season. He has also bagged 14 wickets so far. KKR would need him to go big in the remaining two games.
Sunil Narine
Narine has been economical as ever with the ball. So far in the season, he has picked up 8 wickets in 11 games. He went for 221 runs off his four overs. KR would ideally like some wickets from him in this game.
Pat Cummins
Cummins bowled his best against Mumbai Indians in the last match picking up three wickets. The management would ideally keep him and South ee both in the playing XI.
Tim Southee
Southee has silently done his job for Kolkata Knight riders so far in the season. He has invariably picked up wickets inside the powerplay and has given KKR good starts with the ball. So far he has picked up 12 wickets, the most for him in any IPL season.
Varun Chakravarthy
The mystery spinner will conclude KKR’s likely playing Xi against SRH. In terms of team combination, this is the best XI that they can field and which can challenge other teams.
