RR vs GT: Twitter Reacts As Gujarat Titans Topple Rajasthan To Go To The Top Of The Table

Gujarat Titans (GT) humbled Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match no. 24 to register their fourth win in the IPL 2022 season and go to the top of the table.
Batting first, Gujarat rode on the back of the skipper, Hardik Pandya‘s knock. He built two crucial partnerships – first with Abhinav Manohar (43) and then with David Miller (31 off 14).
Hardik himself smashed 87 in just 52 balls, the knock included 8 fours and 4 massive sixes. It was the return of the explosive and intent-filled Hardik, who had gone missing due to the responsibility of being the captain.
Chasing the target of 193, Rajasthan was buoyed by Jos Buttler’s stunning 24-ball 54 at the top. He did the majority of the scoring in the powerplay, scoring more than 95% of the runs at one point.
Unfortunately, he didn’t receive much support from the other end and once he was dismissed, the untested middle order was exposed. Lockie Ferguson feasted on them, finishing with figures of 3/23 in four overs.
Debutante, Yash Dayal also contributed with 3 wickets of his own. With the win, GT now moves to the top with four wins in five matches. As for Rajasthan, they remain in 2nd place because of a superior net run rate.
