Rishabh Pant shares brilliant 2-word message after BCCI declares him fit for IPL 2024

Rishabh Pant has expressed his happiness in an Instagram post after BCCI declared him fit for IPL 2024. Rishabh Pant is all set to lead Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. He missed the last season due to an injury.
In December 2022, Pant faced a severe car accident while traveling from Delhi to Dehradun. His car caught fire and he was airlifted to Mumbai for medical treatment. After multiple surgeries, the left-handed batter underwent a 14-month-long rehabilitation process to recover from the injuries.
BCCI declares Rishabh Pant fit to play in IPL 2024
The BCCI medical team released a press release on Tuesday, where they declared Rishabh Pant fit to play in IPL 2024.
“After undergoing an extensive 14-month rehab and recovery process, following a life-threatening road mishap on December 30th, 2022, near Roorkee, Uttarakhand, Rishabh Pant has now been declared fit as a wicket-keeper batter for the upcoming TATA IPL 2024”, BCCI wrote in the press release.

After the news, the Delhi Capitals skipper shared an Instagram post to showcase his happiness. Pant shared a photo of himself in a turban and wrote, “Keep smiling”. Have a look at the post below.

David Warner led DC in Rishabh Pant’s absence
Meanwhile, David Warner led the Delhi Capitals in Pant’s absence last season. However, the team gave a miserable show in the season. DC finished in the 9th spot with 4 wins and 9 defeats across 14 games.
Notably, David Warner has been retained by the franchise for IPL 2024. However, Pant will lead the side in the tournament. Earlier during IPL 2024 mini-auction, the DC skipper participated in the auction process with the DC management.

Last month, Pant was seen practicing with Hardik Pandya. The video of the event also did rounds on social media. Now, BCCI has made it clear that Pant will be part of IPL 2024. IPL 2024 will commence on March 22 with the opening game between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chidambaram Stadium. Delhi Capitals will eye their first-ever trophy in IPL 2024.

Delhi Capitals to face Punjab Kings in first match of IPL 2024
Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant is yet to make a comeback in the national team. Before his ouster due to the accident, he was the first-choice wicketkeeper for Team India. In his absence, wicketkeepers like Ishan Kishan, Jitesh Sharma, Dhruv Jurel, and KS Bharat played for the national team across three formats.
Notably, Pant can also feature in India’s squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 with a powerful show in IPL 2024. BCCI has released the schedule for the first 21 games of IPL 2024. Delhi Capitals will face Punjab Kings in their opening match on Saturday, March 23.
