The left-handed batsman will also open the innings for the team in the match. Dhawan showed an amazing for in the previous ODI series against Zimbabwe, smashing 154 runs in 3 games at an average of 77.0. He also slammed 1 fifty in the series which was a top unbeaten knock of 81 runs.

Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill might be another opener for the team in IND vs SA 1st ODI. The right-handed batter showed amazing form in the previous ODI series against Zimbabwe. He smashed 245 runs in 3 games at an average of 122+. He also hit 1 century and 1 half-century in the series.

Shreyas Iyer
