Australia after winning against New Zealand and Zimbabwe take on India in a three-match T20I series starting with the first T20I in Mohali on September 20. The next two games will be played in Nagpur (Sep 23) and Hyderabad (Sep 25). India and Australia will face each other in a T20I match after almost one and a half years. Both the teams last faced each other in a T20I series in December 2020.

Australia have named a 15-member squad for the three-match series. A few key players like David Warner, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh and Marcus Stoinis are not a part of the series. The players are focusing on getting fit ahead of the T20 World Cup

Hazlewood will be one of the three seam options for Australia. He was always a god ODI and Test bowler and since the last IPL has bettered himself as a T20I bowler as well.

Cummins will lead the pace attack in the absence of Mitchell Starc. His battle with the Indian top-order will be a mouthwatering clash in the series.

Zampa, the leggie will conclude Australia’s likely playing XI for the first T20I against India. Zampa might exploit the Indian batsmen’s weakness against leg spin.
